1. Hose

In general, Rubber hoses have a synthetic rubber inner layer that is used to keep the fluid transmitted by the hose inside the pipe. A reinforcing layer of steel wire or fiber woven or wound together is required in the hose to resist the pressure in the pipe. In order to protect the internal layers of hose, there is a synthetic rubber protective layer outside the reinforcement layer. They are called inner layer, reinforcement layer and outer layer respectively.


2. Work stress
When selecting ultrahigh pressure hoses, ensure that the maximum recommended working pressure of hoses and joints is greater than or equal to the maximum working pressure of the system. This kind of hose has low fluid resistance, small volume expansion, good chemical corrosion resistance, light weight, small outer diameter, and the longest single length can reach 1200m. The pulse or peak pressure in the system must be less than or equal to the large operating pressure of the hose assembly.


3. Test the pressure
The test is usually carried out at room temperature with water or other suitable medium (the determining substance). The ultra-high pressure hose assembly should be held under 2 times the working pressure for 30 to 60 seconds without leakage and no pressure drop, in order to consider the assembly pressure test qualified. This test was performed in accordance with the standard ISO 1402.


4. Burst pressure
This means that the pressure that causes the hose to break should be at least 4 times the working pressure (at present, the vast majority of companies are 4 times the pressure to design and produce the hose), but the burst pressure value in the product sample is only used as a hose production test (TestMeasure), and can not be used as a basis for hose selection.


5. Fluid compatibility
The ultra-high pressure hose assembly must have good chemical compatibility with the medium in contact, otherwise it may cause the hydraulic system to not work properly or the hose to age and fail in advance.


6. Temperature range
In order to avoid the performance of the rubber hose being affected, the temperature of the medium and the surrounding environment should not exceed the temperature range of the hose itself, otherwise the hose will age in advance, resulting in leakage. The joint is also different, and the groove of the joint sleeve that needs to be stripped of the outer adhesive is not too sharp, otherwise it will damage the reinforcement layer of the hose. The correct clamping of the joint is essential for the safe and proper operation of the hose assembly.


7. Bend radius of hose
The bending radius of the ultra-high pressure hose refers to the small bending radius that the hose can achieve under its calibrated large working pressure. Working in this bending state, the performance of the hose should not be affected. Bending radius does not represent and cannot measure the flexibility of the hose.
Bending the hose to a small bending radius will seriously affect the strength of the hose, resulting in hose failure. The small straight line length of the hose to the hose connector connection transition is equal to or greater than 1.5 times the outer diameter of the hose (outer edge diameter).


8. Storage of hoses and joints
In order to ensure that the ultra-high pressure hose is used within the effective period, an appropriate system should be established to control the storage of the hose.
