How to connect hydraulic hoses and hard pipes?

A hydraulic system is a mechanical system composed of a series of pipes, valves, hydraulic pumps, and hydraulic cylinders, used to achieve energy transfer and control. Among them, hydraulic pipelines are a very important component of the system, and different joints are required to connect pipes of different components. There are many classifications of hydraulic joints, among which the connection methods of hydraulic hoses and hard pipes are more commonly used. The specific methods of these two connection methods will be introduced separately below.

Firstly, hydraulic hose connection
The connection methods of hydraulic hoses are divided into two types: external thread connection and internal thread connection. In general, external threaded connections are used to connect hoses and fittings, while internal threaded connections are used to connect fittings and liquid pipelines.
1. External thread connection
(1) The first step is to select suitable hoses and fittings. When selecting hoses, special attention should be paid to their inner diameter, pressure rating, and material to ensure compliance with the system requirements. The size and material of the joint also need to be matched with the hose to ensure the safety of the connection.

(2) The second step is to cut the hose to a suitable length and add a fitting sleeve to the hose end. The connector sleeve should match the hose, and the hose should be placed on the connector sleeve to ensure that the hose is inserted longitudinally and flat without any rotation.

(3) The third step is to install the joint. The joint should be inserted into the sleeve, the sleeve should be fixed on the joint, and a wrench or other tool should be used to tighten the thread until the fastening buckle clicks on the sleeve and hose. Finally, test the sealing and firmness of the joint.

2. Internal thread connection
Internal thread connection is mainly used to connect joints and liquid pipelines. The connection method is the same as ordinary internal thread connection, which is divided into two steps:
(1) Match the external and internal threads of the connection point until the two parts are tightly connected, but do not exceed the specified tightness.

(2) Use sealing gaskets at the connection to ensure sealing performance.
